365 Days of Posts 2019

I know there are probably at least a couple hundred blogs started today that promise a post every day of the year. And they all include, no doubt, a statement that swears they really will keep up. I shall not be left out, so I swear I'll keep this up, even if it's only a photo and caption on some days. I'm outside a lot and I'm rather fond of the natural world, so expect lots of photos of plants, and moss, puddles, blue skies, dogs, cats, birds, and more along those lines.

I'm also following a Photoblog prompt-a-day device to inspire a daily photo. Today's word is "celebrate."

Technically this photo was taken last night, though it was after midnight so I'm calling it fair. Game night was enhanced by the presence of many tiny hands. We derived more amusement than you might have thought possible from little rubbery hands. We may have spent more time playing with them than playing any actual games. We're easily amused.

To celebrate a third day off in a row today, I spent much of my time on the couch, doing absolutely nothing. My hardest work was convincing one of the cats to sit with me. (Eliot Waugh pictured in this photo.) Perhaps I should have used a lint brush on my very hairy pants.

Chocolate. Always a thing to celebrate. Especially Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Rolos are pretty good too.

Things that will be recurring themes/things that I love:
The Magicians (books foremost, also TV show). The title of this blog comes from a book quote.
Cats. I have five and I love them all so very much. Also I take care of other people's animals for a living so lots of photo ops.
Dogs. I have one little goofball, but lots of client goofball too.
Books. I like to read.
Music, Mostly of the rock variety.
True crime podcasts.
All of the above filtered through the experiences of a woman of a certain age.

I hope you join me!
